A remote suburb of Dublin, Stepaside lies on the R117 provincial street toward the south-east of the city, at the foot of Three Rock Mountain. The region is found simply off Junction 14 of the M50 motorway. Neighboring territories incorporate Sandyford, Kilternan, Ballyogan, Leopardstown, Carrickmines and Glencullen.

Stepaside town created in the eighteenth and mid nineteenth hundreds of years when the nearby medieval settlement of Kilgobbin was circumvent by another stretch of the Enniskerry Road, worked from what is currently Lamb’s Cross through to Kilternan.
